Where are all my Buffalo Wild Wings lovers at? Do you enjoy the savory taste of those honey barbeque wings or my favorite, Mango Habenero? Ummm, sounds good doesn’t it? Does every Tuesday night end the same way, your friends leaving their MSU student apartments to meet up with you at the B Dubs for some wing fever. If you live in student housing near MSU then I’m almost certain that you have had your fair share of B Dubs. I have a confession. As much as I love Buffalo Wild Wings, I haven’t been in months. That’s for one reason….. Wild Wings Cafe! It’s like B Dubs on steroids! They have about 30 flavors to choose from, the same Tuesday night special AND drum roll please…… Their wings are BIGGER! Shocked aren’t you? Wild Wing Cafe is located on Grand River and Okemos Rd. Itmay be a little ways from B Dubs but it’s definitely worth the trip. Equipped with Flat screen tv’s in HD, and different events that they have every night, it’s a one stop shop for fun. I even won a $25 gift certificate for winning Tuesday night trivia with my buddies. So, instead of making that trip to B Dubs every Tuesday, I find myself getting in the car with my friends, leave my Chandler Crossings Apartment and make that trip to Wild Wings. I’m not a spokesman for Wild Wings, I just like them a lot! I urge you to try them out and you determine who is the King of the Wings in East Lansing!
Let me know what you think……

So I was sitting in my apartment at the Club with my girlfriend of 3 years and we were wondering what to do on Sunday evening, besides watch more football
So we made it simple, we headed over to Eastwood Town Center ( http://www.shopeastwoodtownecenter.com/) and went for a walk, taking in all the sites and sounds of the semi-outdoor shopping center. It turned out to be a very fun and cheap way of enjoying ourselves and each other’s company. There is the obligatory GAP clothing store, Dick’s sporting goods, and quite a few restaurants, ranging from Chinese delicacies (P.F. Changs), to authentic Italian dishes (Bravo!). We even previewed a few books by the fire at Schuler Books and Music.
I would recommend everyone head out to Eastwood and just take a walk, enjoy the stores, window shop, loiter, just hang out! It also doesn’t hurt that it’s only 5 minutes away. So enjoy a cheap way to kill a Sunday afternoon and maybe strengthen a relationship while your at it…

Being on a college budget conserving money is always a priority. But let’s face it, we still like to treat our selves to a nice meal. The Small Planet, located on Chandler Rd. near all three Chandler Crossings apartment communities, has an amazing deal every Saturday.
For just $5, you can receive two beverages of your choice and a 1/2 slab of BBQ ribs! Now, I know everyone is partial to their Hot N’ Ready Pizzas, but I don’t think I’m the only one who would rather have ribs for the same price. Plus, the Small Planet has tons of flat screen HD TVs to watch college football games on. Talk about game day central.
I hope you enjoy my cheap meal tip.

On a college budget finding the cash to treat your boyfriend or girlfriend can be quite a challenge. That being said, the dinner and a movie date doesn’t have to die with the rising prices. Introducing, for Michigan State Student’s pleasure, (cue the drum roll) a new date concept: Tuesday is the new Friday.

Cheap dinner and a movie date for MSU students
As students we don’t have a five star salary so most of us can’t afford five star restaurants. We can however, afford a quality meal from time to time. Take Applebee’s for instance. Applebee’s has a fantastic special going on now called “2 for 20″. For $20 bucks you and your date can share an appetizer and two full size entrees. My recommendation go with the spinach and artichoke dip to start. It’s delicious. Next, for your main course you get a choice of twelve different items such as a 7 oz. sirloin stake or three cheese chicken penne pasta (again, a couple of my favorites). Normally this meal would run you approximately $28. Blogger amount saved: $8.00.
Also, on Tuesday (aka the new Friday) East Lansing’s NCG Cinema sells movie tickets for only $5.00 per person with a valid MSU Student ID or School ID. On your typical Friday night date these tickets can be as high as $8.50 per person. Blogger amount saved: $7.00.
Think of it this way, by switching your date night from Friday to Tuesday you can save $15.00. That nearly pays for next week’s date night.
