So I was sitting in my apartment at the Club with my girlfriend of 3 years and we were wondering what to do on Sunday evening, besides watch more football
So we made it simple, we headed over to Eastwood Town Center ( http://www.shopeastwoodtownecenter.com/) and went for a walk, taking in all the sites and sounds of the semi-outdoor shopping center. It turned out to be a very fun and cheap way of enjoying ourselves and each other’s company. There is the obligatory GAP clothing store, Dick’s sporting goods, and quite a few restaurants, ranging from Chinese delicacies (P.F. Changs), to authentic Italian dishes (Bravo!). We even previewed a few books by the fire at Schuler Books and Music.
I would recommend everyone head out to Eastwood and just take a walk, enjoy the stores, window shop, loiter, just hang out! It also doesn’t hurt that it’s only 5 minutes away. So enjoy a cheap way to kill a Sunday afternoon and maybe strengthen a relationship while your at it…

MSU's Grand River Shops and Restaurants
As an MSU student, East Lansing has made quite a home for you during your education. So what’s there to do? We hear that all the time. That’s why we’ve created a pretty sweet East Lansing lifestyle list of what to do, where to shop, dine and what to see. We want to give you the ins and outs to make your college experience complete. See something that we’ve missed? Please share it with us so we can add it to our ongoing list. We love to hear about the small “hole in the wall” restaurant that serves the best food you’ve ever tasted.
Thank you East Lansing for helping us make our MSU student apartments more than a home.

MSU Shopping Center
Done with school and ready to shop! It’s time to enjoy the warm weather and take a stroll around East Lansing’s Eastwood outdoor mall. I know what you’re thinking: we are just poor Michigan State students who certainly don’t have the extra cash laying around to go shopping– But boy do I have good news for you! Eastwood is having some great summer specials going on that won’t put a hole in your wallet.
At American Eagle Outfitters, all of their shorts are on sale, for girls and guys. In addition, their boyfriend tanks (womens) are perfect for summer and are under ten bucks! The new guy’s graphic tees are buy one get one 50% off- a great way to be stylish by not spending a lot of dough.
At Express, many items are marked down. On top of that, you can take an additional 20% off the already marked down price…which is always a great bonus.
And always, Forever 21 is a great place to find fabulous peices for a bargin. Their hot new bakini line ranges for only 11-15 bucks a peice– stock up now to look your best around Chandler Crossing’s pools all summer long. The swim wear is perfect for lounging by the pool all day, but what about a night out? Try looking fancy or casual with Forever 21′s party dresses in all shapes, sizes and colors for less than 25 dollars.
Who said looking good costs ya?
